#10 - Double Double

This show is solid gold. We discuss the Big Show, Poddog, Buckeye Drive Time, I establish I can't speak on Zee and Zed with proper grammar, our promo got played...on Adam Curry's Daily Source Code of all places, Karen DOESN'T have cancer and receives a weenie and a hat, criteria for Ross for finding a new spouse if Karen buys the farm, "Americanadian Differences - Donuts", Canada bashing by the brilliant Tucker Carlson, our holiday plans, and computers are stupid but they still allow us to play you one of our all-time favorite songs....what a mess.

Music by Electric Frankenstein courtesy of Magnatune, The LeeVees, and the incredible 1980's line-up of Dinosaur Jr.

Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.

-Ross

  • Wait, wait, I'm an idiot. Dinosaur Jr. ain't from edmonton (spit) in fact they ain't even Canadian (I think) I was thinking of Junior Gone Wild. I have no idea why, but I have always mixed those two bands up.

    Note:
same as deleted post just with out the typos. Where my beer.

  • The Big Show midwest tour is on! No dates have been scheduled but there is one stop planned for Minnesota in June. I'd love to meet you two and maybe we could get Lisa and Joe and come up. Not sure if Jenny will join the tour, we'll know more in Februrary. If she's not coming, that's actually a great thing because she'd be carrying my spawn. Booyah! So get your posters ready, The Big Show midwest tour is coming!!

  • Wow, would love to see your collection. Do you have album number two? Only song I remember with out looking is Eat the Rich. Saw them in a bar in town. We were the only ones over 30. (way over) The song "bleed a little while tonight" is "our song". We are a little twisted in the relationship area.

  • We're glad to hear Karen's test came back okay. Lisa likes the idea of picking the next SO, although I have criteria of my own that needs to be considered. While having Christmas dinner with my parents we got the inside scoop on a Canadian nun who's up for sainthood-- she's some relative of a friend of theirs-- so maybe Karen should send some maple syrup to Pope Benedict as a bribe.

Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas!

  • Hi guys - just listened for the first time today and really enjoyed it. One question, though. If all ambitious Canadians have left, then what does that say about us who got disgusted with US politics and moved to Toronto? Probably we just don't have enough ambition to fit in back in the US. Let me know if you want me to say hi to any of your less ambitious friends while I'm here.
